Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame

The purpose of the Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame (BFTHF) is to provide recognition for worthy dogs and persons that have made significant contributions to the sport of field trialing.

The BFTHF is an element of the Field Trial Hall of Fame, located in Grand Junction, Tennessee.

The BFTHF is an element of the Field Trial Hall of Fame.  The Field Trial Hall of Fame is an integral part of the Bird Dog Foundation. The Bird Dog Foundation functions under a tax-exempt Corporate Charter and has been granted a Federal Exemption under paragraph 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  The Federal Exemption Number 62-1263274.

The Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame has been inaugurated under the auspices of the Bird Dog Foundation and the Field Trial Hall of Fame (Grand Junction, TN).   The organization of the Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame consists of a Board of Directors, an ad hoc Nominating Committee, and an Election Committee.  See Election Process for additional details

The initial dogs elected in 1997 to the Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame are members of the ABC Hall of Fame and are dogs whose contributions are recognized as having made Significant Contributions to the Sport of Field Trialing  They have been enshrined in the Bird Dog Field Trial Hall of Fame at the Bird Dog Museum, Grand Junction, Tennessee and are now a part of the permanent history of all of Field Trialing.  Pictures or paintings of these dogs are displayed in the museum.

Beginning in 2001, worthy people have also been elected into the BFTHF.

Since 1998, the Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame solicited, and when appropriate elected, additional dogs into the Field Trial Hall of Fame.  These dogs may or may not be members of the ABC Hall of Fame.  There should never be any conflict between the ABC Hall of Fame and the Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame.

The Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame is an independent organization, not a part of the American Brittany Club.  The American Brittany Club has it's own Hall of Fame that operates under different criteria.
